Not every phone call has to end in 'I love you' and not every goodbye has to end with a kiss.

....

(conversation between a Christian and an everyday person.")
"Why is it Christians are so scared?"
"What do you mean?"
"Christians are always scared. They are so ready to go preach the Gospel but so scared they might actually meet the world."
"What do you mean meet the world?"
"Like they go into ministry with this, listen to me, point of view. But as soon as you start talking about how your life sucks, you were beaten, molested, and are depressed, they start to glaze over. Like almost in fear because they don't know what to say or how to handle life outside their little box. It is like Christians say they live their lives day to day for Christ, but their day only means them living in their Christian subcultures that they have made. They know what to say and how to act, but put them in real life and they are at a lose of how to act."
"Maybe it is just hard to know how to handle it, because they never went threw it."
"Yeah. because most Christians wouldn't still be a Christian if they lost everything and really had to live like us."
"Ouch."
"You Christians are so afraid you're going to screw up by not saying the right thing and not saying something that will bring the person to Christ, that you end up not showing Christ at all."
"Can I just say, wow, and thanks for the reality smack?"

This past week I asked to be transferred to another store and when I saw that manager I just ran and hugged her and she greeted me with a kiss. And each morning I go into my store half awake and I get hugs and good mornings. On Saturday I had a bad day and my coworkers really did talk it out and we all were laughing by the end of they day, we all forgave and made the most of it.
So why is it so hard in the church?
It is so hard because their are so many people I want to bring to Church but as soon as someone walks into that door we have to start judging. Why? Hypocrites! We are all coming for the same reason, to learn about Christ. Isn't it great to have someone come to church? That means they are open! We need to start praising God for the little things! Praying for the little unknown people. Having coffee with a new friend. Not just caring for people when they are in need.
Life brings more pain then we can handle alone. She we need to be there for each other. Not everyone goes through crap and knows what to say. But listen we aren't going to screw up because we don't know what to say. A hug does so many more words. Share in pain, share in frustration, show people we aren't these good kids but we understand the pain.

God is teaching me so much right now, and I wish there was a way to put all my journal and stories into a book that others could read and learn with me.
